Only one version of Wordpress was vulnerable to hacking, and that's why I am sure. If and when I find out that another version is vulnerable, I will post it on this blog.

You need to upgrade to the current version of Wordpress... that could be set out as a rule.

If you used Fantastico to install your blog on your cpanel-equipped hosting account, then you are in luck. Fantastico can upgrade your blog software for you in a jiffy.

If you used ftp to install your blog, then you need to use ftp to upgrade... not that simple. I have several ftp programs, and only one, Total Commander is willing to remove a directory or folder from the server while it is not empty.

Once you can remove the wp-admin and wp-includes folders, you can simply upload the same (upgraded) folders and the files in the root/blog directory and run wp-admin/upgrade.php file. Upgrades have been coming out fast and furious... and I have 10+ blogs... quite an undertaking. grrrr.

Good luck, and make sure you write back if you run into a snag.

You sure you're clear of this? The fact that it got in once means it can get in again, so just cleaning the code it made will only help your site until whatever method they used to hack your site is fixed to prevent them from being able to do it again. Make sense?

Hi Sophie,

Right place, right time, it seems, for me to be reading yor materials.
Little by little I'm moving towards being, more conistently, one of those 5 - 10% who have something to say.

I can relate totally with what you have said here. My feeling afraid to speak because of self criticism as the value of my contribution. This is changing ..... and look, I have drawn you into my life to help in this process. Awesome !!

I loved the links you provided to historical examples of what you are talking about. A great addition. The emotions that these great speakers stir in oneself. that experience alone (in the context of this subject), is worth so much more than any description of it.

I look forward to more installments.
Cheers,
Sven

Hi Sophie,

It seems to me that this is exactly where we see the
tremendous value in coaching. It is one thing to come
awake to the fact that yes, we do have a choice and we
can, in fact, break habts and patterns of the past.

It is quite another to remain in those conscious states
enough to effectively and consistently engage measures
to develop new ones.

Reading your posts is one way that I can support myself
moving in my new direction.

OK, I looked it up: the rubberband theory is called "oscillating structure". The illustration is that you have two opposing, or mutually exclusive purposes, in the case of dieting, you want to be slim, and you want to be able to enjoy food, as much as you want. You can see, that you can have either the one or the other. Except for some rare individuals.

No imagine, that you are in an empty room, one wall is called comfort, the other wall, across from the first is called slim.

Imagine, that there is a rubber band tying you to either walls. If you "answer" one calling, the rubber band from the other gets tight, until it is so uncomfortable, that you quit dieting and resort to eating as much as you want. When the discomfort of being overweight stretches the other rubber band, you go back to dieting... until the discomfort of dieting gets too hard... and thus you oscillate between your two desires.

This is a very remarkable distinction, and if you don't recognize it, you end up like a rocking chair: the illusion of something happening (rocking) but never going anywhere.

Fritz's genius, and I mean the word, genius, is that he finds a way to put wheels on the rocking chair, and without stopping the rocking, it takes you (while rocking) to where you want to go.

Brilliant.

Very interesting article, even to myself.

I used to experience my life as a cruel roller coaster, that jerked me left and then jerked me right, a lot like Robert Fritz describes the phenomenon of rubber banding... forgot its name, sorry. This article shows the way out... it is almost like before this article, when I did something, my nose was right up to it, so it filled my whole cone of vision and thus, it was my world. Nothing before it, nothing after it.

Now, after this new discovery, I have the capacity to pull away from the incident, create a little distance, so I can have the big picture (or at least bigger, lol) and see that I am NOT THAT... that is something temporary, as in the article said, it is a being, not an IS.

Love it.

Hey Sophie,
Great post. I really enjoyed it.
It's the fear thing for me too, I must admit.
Fear of the "bad" things happening to me, yes, but also, I realize, the fear of "success" as well, in a funny sort of way.

In your Moses story it so comes down to being absolutely, fully committed, doesn't it? Having the courage to trust completely.
I guess, for me, I set things up in my own life by creating my own "Pharaoh’s Army" to build the pressure so much that I finally make that leap of faith and just go-for-it.
Yeah, it's the fear thing for me. ...... but each time I watch myself, I learn, I grow. I'm learning to be more conscious of it
It's good (even though I might kick and scream a bit during the process)
Thanks for helping to stimulate thought in this direction.
You write well too. :o)
Blessings, Sven
